Bring Your Own iPad® Workshop
 Description
Do you have your own iPad®, and are now ready to use it in your classroom? Do you already have an iPad for your classroom, but want more ideas on how to use it as an instructional tool?    Join RIMS CTAP for a day of fun and exploration in using the iPad as an instructional tool. With the iPad, you and your students can easily create and share content. Teachers can monitor student progress and manage classroom tasks more easily. Topics covered during this workshop include: iOS Overview Exploring Apps for professional productivity Exploring Apps for teacher utilities Exploring Apps for reference and learning Videoconferencing with the iPad Using the iPad to access online resources Bring your own iPad, as this will be a hands-on workshop. This workshop is optimized for the iPad2 and newest generation iPad, but most activities will work the original iPad. Although we will focus on free Apps, some paid Apps will be demonstrated.

 Description
Bring your own device to join us in hands-on exploration of a variety of technology tools to support student engagement and enhance instruction in your classroom. The RIMS CTAP Summer Roadshow consists of three mini-conferences located at sites across Riverside and San Bernardino counties. These 2-day workshops feature a variety of hands-on sessions for beginning and intermediate proficiency technology using educators. Southern Region Student Wellness Conference
 Description
Attendees must come as a team of 3 - 5 participants.   The goal of the Southern Region Student Wellness Conference is to minimize health and wellness barriers to academic and personal success while maximizing student connectedness with the educational experience.   Student mental & physical wellness issues will be addressed by some of the nation’s top experts in the field.  The experience will be highly interactive and addresses the basic design and function of a positive learning environment and multiagency collaboration to support student success.   The training offers a variety of workshop options that will enhance partnerships between school systems and community agencies as we increase  the knowledge base of all those who interface with the wide range of student wellness needs on a daily basis.  These activities offer personal and professional growth opportunities for school personnel, as well as community service providers, and are presented by those experienced in supporting success and wellness of young people and creating a positive school climate.    Attending all sessions is required.
