Join SBCSS and Dr. Kate Kinsella for a full-day training on her latest curriculum: the Academic Vocabulary Toolkit published by National Geographic Learning. Dr. Kinsella will equip secondary school teachers and instructional coaches to effectively implement this language-rich vocabulary program and provide students with opportunities to learn high-use academic words in a flexible format, and correctly employ these words in speaking and writing. Participants will observe model lessons and practice Dr. Kinsella’s instructional routine, specifically designed to help students master key academic vocabulary, re-engage in school settings, and increase scores on state assessments.
