The focus will be on strategies for PRESCHOOL through 8TH GRADE students.
This course offers a two-day training on the principles of the TEACCH program (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) from the University of North Caroline at Chapel Hill. TEACCH is an evidence-based service, training, and research program for individuals of all ages and skill levels with autism spectrum disorders. TEACCH uses structured learning to emphasize the development of skills through the use of visual prompts or cues in the environment, capitalizing on visual processing strengths of students with ASD.
