Service-Learning:Classroom and After-Schools Program Applications
Description
This three-hour workshop is designed to introduce educators to Service-Learning and its implications for the 21st Century Student. Emerging research indicates that Service-Learning is a key strategy to prevent student dropout and to connect students to their schools and communities in meaningful ways. The training is offered through the Cal Serve Grant, a federally funded program designed to implement and facilitate Service-Learning Education programs in Region 10: San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo, and Mono counties.
